Most travelers from Europe, the U.S., and Canada do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days. All travelers should have an onward or return ticket and evidence of funds to support yourself while in Nicaragua. You must carry a valid identity document at all times, such as a U.S. driver’s license or a passport.
Upon arrival you must purchase a tourist card for $10 USD at the airport (exact change recommended in USD currency), valid for up to a total of 90 days. Therefore, if you come from a country other than the United States, make sure to change the currency in your country before your flight and arrive prepared!
